Nutshell: Group of overlooked players from Arkansas and Louisiana. They'll come into TBT hungry, and with a chip on their shoulder.

In TBT, one old adage has stood the test of time: don’t count out the underdog. Although those from outside Arkansas and Louisiana may not be familiar with the lion’s share of this Golden Boot Dynasty roster, they are hungry to show the world that “some of the best, overlooked basketball players” in the world hail from their neck of the woods.

GM Jerame McNeal knew exactly what he was doing when he put this roster together. In addition to a host of former University of Arkansas Little Rock standouts, the team features defensive menaces Devon Baulkman (University of Tennessee) and 2014 Polish League top defender A.J. Walton (Baylor). To make up for a relative lack of height (Theophilus Little is the only player who stands taller than 6-foot-7), expect to see Golden Boot Dynasty play an up-tempo, havoc-style of defense.

The team also features a couple of players with some TBT experience. Little Rock alums D’Andre Williams and Rashad Moss played on an Arkansas (EBL) Finest team that came within  minutes of upsetting the Josh Selby-led Team BDB last summer. Williams had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists in the loss.

So, although you may not know their names right now, Golden Boot Dynasty players are read to show that chemistry and defense can take a squad a long way in a single-elimination tournament. That’s exactly what Golden Boot Dynasty brings to the table in TBT 2017.
