How They Fared in TBT 2017

Round 1: #1 Overseas Elite Survive Scare vs. Chattanooga

Two-time defending champion Overseas Elite survived a scare and defeated the Chattanooga Trenches, 84-74, to advance to the Round of 32. Chattanooga, the #16-seed, stayed close as they only trailed by two points at halftime. But the #1 Elite clamped down in the second half, holding the Trenches to just 27% shooting and nine total field goals.

Overseas Elite was led by Errick McCollum II, who racked up 20 points. Kyle Fogg had 15 points while DJ Kennedy and Justin Burrell each added 14 points. Chattanooga was paced by Brandon Suttles, who posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Fred Sturdivant was close behind with 13 points and eight rebounds.
