Ware shines in exhibition match against 76ers

Ware scored 19 points against the Sixers on Friday night
If anybody thought last year was a fluke, think again. Almost a year to the date after dropping 20 points and grabbing six rebounds against Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder, Team Challenge ALS star Casper Ware and Melbourne United headed back to the United States to take on another NBA powerhouse. For Ware, the results were the same. Although his team suffered a 104-84 setback against the 76ers on Friday night, Ware scored a team-high 19 points and added five assists, four steals and three rebounds. Whether it be stroking trey balls over the 7-foot Joel Embiid or draining his deadly midrange shot, Ware displayed the same skillset that helped lead Team Challenge ALS to the TBT 2017 Championship Game.
Four-time TBT Champion DJ Kennedy added four points, four steals and three rebounds against Philly. Five-time tournament participant Josh Boone, who made it to the TBT 2014 Championship Game with Team Barstool, did not play due to a hamstring injury. He is expected to return when Melbourne United heads north of the border to play the Toronto Raptors on Friday, October 5.
