Iso Joe made his TBT debut this summer...now he might get an NBA job out of it

According to a recent report from the Arkansas Gazette, Joe Johnson might be back on an NBA court next season.

Iso Joe told his hometown paper that multiple NBA teams reached out to him after TBT 2020 with talks of adding him to their roster next season. Johnson also revealed that he would consider playing overseas if nothing comes to fruition.

"I still have that itch to hoop," said Johnson. "I still love the game. I just can't give it up right now."

The 7-time All-Star has 17 years of NBA experience. His last game was in 2018 for the Houston Rockets.

This past summer in TBT, he suited up for Overseas Elite and was the tournament’s second leading scorer after averaging 22 points per game. Johnson led the team to the tournament semifinals and proved that he can still get buckets at basketball’s highest level.

He caught the attention of TBT superfan Dwyane Wade, who tweeted that “Joe Johnson can get 20 points in his sleep in the NBA right now on a winning team if he wanted. Off the bench not many guys in the 2nd unit can guard him.”

"I definitely appreciate what Dwyane said in his tweet," Johnson told the Gazette. "It just shows I've still been working my butt off.
