Andrew Dakich brings TBT fans to Columbus for Ohio State game day

The Big X guard left nothing on the table

It may seem normal now, but just three years ago it was inconceivable that Andrew Dakich would ever don Ohio State gear. A walk-on at Michigan, Dakich helped lead the Wolverines to three NCAA Tournament appearances from 2013-2016. After initially announcing that he would transfer to Quinnipiac for his senior season, Dakich changed his mind and instead decided to join Chris Holtmann at bitter rival Ohio State. The move paid dividends. Not only did Dakich average a career-high 19 minutes per game last year, but he was a vocal leader on a Buckeyes squad that reached the NCAA Tournament despite a whole lot of naysayers. His relationship with both schools also helped him form Big X in TBT 2018, a team that reunited some of the best Big 10 players in recent memory. Dakich has since begun his foray into coaching, currently serving as a grad assistant at OSU. On Friday, he brought us behind-the-scenes before the Buckeyes took on Maryland at the Schottenstein Center. Enjoy!
