The Bucketneers will look to make their first TBT appearance
For all the teams who could have the word “bucket” in their name, the Bucketneers should carry the mantle well.
While chatting with Inside TBT, Desonta Bradford and A.J. Merriweather announced that a squad of Eastern Tennessee State (ETSU) alumni will be applying for TBT 2021.

In 2017, ETSU won the Southern Conference and made an NCAA tournament appearance in which they played against the fourth-seeded Florida.
ETSU was a must-watch team that year, gaining popularity from their pre-game dunk sessions and in-game highlights.
On that team were starters Desonta Bradford, A.J. Merriweather, and Tevin Glass, all of whom are scheduled to play for the Bucketneers in TBT.

First look at the early @TBTBucketneers roster ⤵️ pic.twitter.com/xdVoTW7ctx
During their NCAA tournament run, Bradford averaged 10.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. Merriweather and Glass both averaged over 8 points and 4 rebounds per game.
Now, these three look to prove themselves on an even higher level in TBT.
Bradford is fresh off a season in Belgium where he averaged 14.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Merriweather brings TBT experience, having helped the Jackson TN UnderDawgs reach the TBT 2019 Quarterfinals.
Gassed the nickname, but yeah..It’s time for that! 💪🏿🤩 https://t.co/gvzUslBdmb

Tennessee, Memphis, and Middle Tennessee State are no longer the only alumni teams from The Volunteer State to apply for TBT.
Will we see an in-state rivalry down south this summer?
