Team KBC came out firing in their first-round matchup against the Peoria Allstars, going up 36-10 after just the first quarter thanks to A.J Slaughter’s 19 first quarter points on 8-9 shooting. KBC remained in control for nearly the entirety of the game, stretching their lead to 31 at one point. But thanks to a 16-2 run to close the 4th quarter, the Allstars cut the lead down to 12 by the Elam Ending. But it wasn’t enough as A.J Slaughter hit a deep three to hit the target score giving team KBC a 94-82 win with Slaughter finishing the with a game high 34 points, shooting 11-18 from the field and leading his team in rebounds with 6. KBC also got solid contributions from former University of Tennessee guard Chris Lofton, scoring 18 and assisting 4, and former Eastern Kentucky University forward Nick Mayo who scored 17.  The Peoria All-Stars were led in scoring by guard Michael Bryson who put up 24 points and Jordan Faison chipped in with an additional 14. Team KBC will move on to face Demarcus Cousins, Pierre Jackson and Loyalty is Love tomorrow at 4 p.m (est) on ESPN2.
