Double-digit deficit? No problem.

Codi Miller-McIntyre stole a mid-court pass, and CJ Harris slammed home the winning basket to send Team CP3 past the PrimeTime Players, 76-74.

Nate Mason led all scorers with 26 points in the win for Team CP3, which never led until the Elam Ending.

“My main goal is to win,” said Mason when asked to reflect on his offensive performance.

Team CP3 fell behind early but remained confident in its chances, despite a large deficit.

“We knew we were getting the shots we wanted,” said Harris. “We just wanted to stay together. We talked about chopping wood. We knew if we kept it close, we’d be all right.”

Christian Keeling had a team-high 25 points in the losing effort for the PrimeTime Players, who squandered an 18-point first-half lead.

Team CP3, which overcame an 18-point deficit to win a first-round game for the second straight year, advances to face the defending runner-up Golden Eagles on July 6th at 9:00 PM EST.
